“Committee votes matter; they dictate or influence the outcome of pending legislation, and frequently the committee vote is the only vote that will happen on a particular bill,” said Senator Rausch.

A midyear update from Senator Becca Rausch regarding policy work, committee assignments, and goals for the session ahead.

Senator Rausch filed a budget amendment to secure $250,000 for a youth mental health support text line, to be administered by Samaritans, Inc.

The Massachusetts Coalition for Health Equity hosted a rally at the State House to promote vaccine equity in the Commonwealth. Senator Rausch joined to speak in favor of robust public health protections and promote her COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Act.

"This is about bad management from our executive," she said. "And that bad management has led to massive waste of fiscal and other state resources."

Senator Rausch hosted a series of Local Leadership Lunches to highlight the work of district women for Women's History Month.

“It’s not fair for teachers to spend their already limited time searching mediocre-at-best websites to try and find appointments,” Rausch said.
